MyClickBook was built to solve this problem. At the heart of our platform is an AI-powered hairstyle try-on engine that allows users to preview any hairstyle on their own face — before they ever book an appointment, and certainly before they sit in a chair.
How Our AI Try-On Engine Works
The technology stack behind our try-on feature draws from three distinct fields of AI research: facial landmark detection, generative image synthesis, and real-time video rendering.
When a user uploads a selfie, our system first runs it through a facial landmark detection model. This maps 68 key points on the face — the jawline, cheekbones, eyes, nose, and hairline — with sub-millimetre precision. From these landmarks, we derive the user's precise face shape classification.

Built for India
Most AI beauty tools were trained primarily on Western faces and hair textures. Our model was specifically fine-tuned on a dataset of South Asian faces, with a particular focus on the rich diversity of Indian hair types — from fine, straight hair in the North to thick, wavy textures common in South India.
This matters because the same hairstyle can look dramatically different depending on hair density, natural curl pattern, and scalp health. A cut that looks great in a Western hair magazine may not translate well to Indian hair without modification.
Collaboration With Real Stylists
Our AI isn't operating in isolation. Every hairstyle in our library was reviewed and approved by certified professionals. Stylists on our platform can flag if a particular AI recommendation doesn't align with their professional assessment — and that feedback goes directly back into retraining our model.
This human-in-the-loop approach means our recommendations get better with every booking, every review, and every style preference our users express.
